The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to carry out the following task(s):
Design and implementation of an application to be ported to mainstream tablets and mobile devices to hold UNAIDS electronic publications in various formats (pdf, epub etc…)
Enter into a 2-year agreement (with possibility of a one year extension) for the conversion of UNAIDS publications in electronic format (epub and other formats needed for lot 1) and submission to mainstream distributors (apple iBookstore, amazon, google books etc…) .
Bidders can bid for 1, 2 or both. For all detailed requirements please consult the attached Request for Proposal.

National leaders have made progress on AIDS a defining legacy of their commitment to their own people. But Africa is too dependent on external resources, especially for the AIDS response. It is time for African leaders to come together to define a transformed development paradigm that will deliver a new, socially sustainable agenda that is written and owned by Africa.

UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé called today on African governments to take on a greater share of AIDS investments in their own countries and across the region. Addressing an audience of African Heads of State in Addis Ababa, Mr Sidibé said that financing a sustainable response to the HIV epidemic in Africa will require home grown and innovative solutions that meet the needs of the African people.

Supply vehicle(s) and driver for removals between the UNAIDS Headquarters building and other UNAIDS office locations or meeting venues in Geneva.
Vendors are requested to propose the best and most cost-effective solution to meet UNAIDS requirements, while ensuring a high level of service.

A Libyan delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Adel M. Abushoffa met with UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé on 24 January at UNAIDS headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The aim of the meeting was to set up the short-term priorities for the country’s response to AIDS as well as to establish the basis for the development of a strong national AIDS plan.
