Making resources work for communities through increased HIV and AIDS competence

INTRODUCTION

SAT started its activities in Tanzania in 1993,  and in July 2005 it received registration as a trust and incorporated in Tanzania as a local (national) organization, which is also known as SAT Tanzania.

SAT Tanzania has been providing training on HIV and AIDS to various organizations. The training activities in Tanzania focused at the time mainly on counseling and HBC.

In 1996 SAT started partnership with NGOs for purposes of strengthening their organizational capacities and programming through the provision of grants for activities while continuing with capacity building; and this was the beginning of Capacity Development Contracts (CDC) partnerships with organizations.
