The Southern Africa AIDS Trust (SAT) is pleased to introduce its new five-year strategy (2012-2017), which was approved by the SAT Board on 09 June 2012. The Board chair, Connie Mutunhu, said that “the strategy is ambitious, bold and innovative and aims to address key regional needs from a community-based perspective.”
The strategy has at its heart a vision in which, “Resilient communities across southern Africa enjoy good health and well-being free of stigma and discrimination”.The strategy builds on the strength of SAT’s 21 years of community experience in the region and responds to evolving priorities in Southern Africa. Four strategic result areas are at the heart of the new strategy; prevention with youth; women’s health; sexual and reproductive health and rights integration; and dialogue for health.
