SAT Zambia recently celebrated 21 Years of Strengthening Community HIV and AIDS Competence in Zambia.
SAT has enrolled its staff on an online social and behaviour change communication (SBCC) course.

The Southern African AIDS Trust is Attending the 2011 ICASA in Addis. As part of of its support for women empowerment, SAT has partnered with ATHENA Network and The Global Coalition on Women and AIDS (IGCWA) in raising awareness about the need to promote women's right and their meaningful participation in HIV and AID responses and particularly in prevention efforts under the UNAIDS getting to "ZERO" approach to the epidemic.
A total of 32 young people from Botswana, Comoros, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe attended the Think-Tank Meeting at the Riverside Resort in the Vaal, South Africa representing various youth organizations.
SAT in collaboration with the Global Youth Coalition on AIDS (GYCA) are jointly hosting a two-day workshop - 25-26 October 2011. More than 30 youths from across the SADC region are participating in this workshop.
AIDS drugs designed to treat HIV can also be used to reduce dramatically the risk of infection among heterosexual couples.
Over fifty civil society representatives met in Kadoma on 11 and 12 July as part of the consultation process in preparation for Global Fund Round 11 application. The two-day meeting was organized by the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) secretariat with financial support from the Southern African AIDS Trust (SAT).
