Regional activities

SAT's regional actions are informed by national priorities through its country offices and the direct link with communities. These linkages (community, country and regional experiences) promote south-to-south learning and facilitates evidence-based advocacy for influencing policies developed at different levels. SAT demonstrates its regional value added through:

• Sharing learning's and creating a voice
• Facilitating regional thinking and influencing policies
• Making resources work for communities' response to HIV and AIDS
• Supporting evidence-based decision making through operational research.
• Providing supportive platforms on growing, emerging and controversial issues such as LGBTs,
• Participating in and strengthening regional initiatives.
• Economies of scale within a regional programming department.
